Community guidelines
These are the rules that keep the community useful. They're short on purpose: if you're unsure whether something fits, the answer is usually in the first point of each section.
What is this community
It's a public forum about airsoft: replicas, gear, tactics, regulations, fields and games. Written by players, not Plairsoft.
It's not the support channel. If you have a problem with the app, a game, a registration or a payment, email usuarios@plairsoft.com; if you manage a field, campos@plairsoft.com. No one here will solve it.
Everything you write is public
Anyone can read it, with or without an account, and threads appear in search engines. Write thinking that in three years someone will arrive here searching for exactly that problem.
Your posts stay in the forum even if you delete your Plairsoft account, to avoid leaving broken conversations that other people have participated in. Think about it before sharing something you don't want to remain public.
Safety is non-negotiable
Eye protection is not negotiable. No posts are allowed recommending playing without approved goggles, removing them in the game zone or breaking a field's safety rules.
Modifications exceeding your country's legal energy limits, or instructions for converting a replica into something it's no longer, are not published. This point admits no nuance.
What's shared here is not verified. When in doubt, always check your country's regulations and the rules of the field where you play.
No buying or selling here, and watch out for scams
Plairsoft's Marketplace is for buying and selling. The forum is for resolving questions about brands, prices and purchases; not for posting ads.
No one from Plairsoft will ask you for money in private, send you a payment link, or ask for your login credentials. If someone does, pretending to be the team, they're not from the team.
Be wary of anyone trying to get you off the platform to close a deal, rushing you, or asking for a bank transfer upfront in exchange for too good a price. If you're being scammed, report it with the flag and email usuarios@plairsoft.com.
Fields, teams and shops
You can criticize a field, team or shop by saying what happened to you and when. What's not allowed is personal attack, accusation without facts or an organized campaign against a business.
To rate a field, use its profile on Plairsoft, where the rating counts and the field can respond. The forum is not the place to settle a complaint with a business.
How to answer well
Answer what's being asked. If information is missing, ask for it before assuming what the problem is.
Explain the why, not just the what. 'Change the latch' helps once; explaining what the latch does and why it fails helps everyone reading the thread later.
If you're not sure, say so. A 'this depends on things we can't see from the outside' is worth far more than a made-up answer that sounds good.
There are no silly questions: we've all been new. Condescending replies are moderated the same as insults.
If you're relying on an answer from artificial intelligence, say so and check it first. An answer that sounds confident but is wrong does more harm than not answering.
What's not allowed
Insults, harassment, discriminatory content and personal attacks, including against specific fields, teams or shops.
Spam, hidden self-promotion and repeating the same link. You can link your blog or channel if it adds to the answer, not as the answer itself.
Personal data of third parties, screenshots of private conversations and any content that identifies someone without their permission.
Content unrelated to airsoft: politics, religion and feuds from other communities.
Automatic translation
Write in your language. Content is saved as you wrote it and translated on the server to the language of whoever reads it, with the original always one click away.
Translation is automatic and can fail, especially with very specific jargon. If something doesn't add up in a translated reply, check the original before taking it as correct.
Recommended answers and thread closure
Whoever opens a thread can mark the answer that solved their problem. Silver-level and above experts can also, so abandoned threads don't end up without direction.
From Gold level and above you can close resolved threads. A closed thread doesn't accept new replies, but remains public: it's closed to keep it clean and useful.
Reports and moderation
Anyone can report a post using the flag icon, stating the reason. Reports are reviewed by the Plairsoft team.
Content breaching these rules is removed. Serious or repeated breaches may result in the sanctions provided for in Plairsoft's Terms and Conditions, which apply to the entire platform.
If you believe a moderation decision is an error, you can appeal it by emailing usuarios@plairsoft.com. The procedure is in the reports, moderation and appeals section of the Terms.
These rules are part of the Terms
These terms apply alongside Plairsoft's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, which are linked in the footer. If anything is not covered here, what the Terms state shall apply.
