Yes, to play airsoft you normally need to be covered by insurance, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to arrange one yourself.

What usually happens in Spain is one of these two things:

• Insurance included with entry: many sites include coverage for players during the game. You pay your entry fee and you're covered for that day.

• Personal or federation insurance: other sites may require you to have active insurance, normally associated with an association, club or federation, or to purchase day insurance if you don't have one.

That's why you might find sites telling you insurance is included and others asking you to prove it before playing.

Also, regulations and requirements can vary depending on the autonomous community, the site and the type of activity, so having insurance in your community doesn't automatically mean any policy will cover you playing anywhere in Spain.
